B.B.P. Hosmillo, author of The Essential Ruin (forthcoming), is a Southeast Asianist queer poet. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in SOFTBLOW, OCHO: A Journal for Queer Arts, The Ilanot Review, Kenning Journal, Toe Good Poetry, Kritika Kultura, The Missing Slate, Nude Bruce Review, Sundog Lit, Alice Blue Review, and many others. A lecturer of English and Literatures, his research interests include cultural memory, governmentality in the tradition of Michel Foucault, subjectivity, and East and Southeast Asian writing.
